AvMed a division of Sentara Health Plans in the Florida market is hiring a Remote Senior Underwriter.
Remote opportunities available in the following states: Virginia North Carolina Alabama Delaware Florida Georgia Idaho Indiana Kansas Louisiana Maine Maryland Minnesota Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma Pennsylvania South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Washington (state) West Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming
Responsible for accurately developing employer group rates. Works with the sales department to finalize rates and develop appropriate benefit alternatives as appropriate. Acts as a mentor/ advisor to Underwriters and Underwriting Trainees. Responsible for cases with the highest level of complexity.
Education:
- Bachelors degree
Experience:
- 7 years of Underwriting experience
- Must have experience in large group underwriting.
- Preferred experience in prospect rating renewal rating and selffunding
We provide marketcompetitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is: $60756.8 $101245.4. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials standby/oncall overtime premiums extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.
