Head Coach: Cheer

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to fulfill the universitys mission to help students develop in mind body and spirit by instructing student athletes equipping them with strategies and techniques to help them realize success in athletics academics and social experiences. This position is responsible for providing coaching expertise and leadership to student athletes. This position may scout and recruit players. This position is responsible for the wellbeing and safety of the players.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Coach assigned sport including practices contests and pre and post seasonal play
• Recruit students for sport
• Monitor conduct of athletes
• Abide by and enforce Concordia University rules and regulations
• Abide by and enforce NCAA Division III rules
• Abide by and enforce NACC rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• 2 Years of coaching experience in the sport or skill set and/or training in the sport
• Demonstrated effective leadership coaching and recruiting skills
• Professional communication skills
• Occasional overnight travel required
• Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Education & Experience

A bachelors degree is preferred. Cheer experience at a progressively high level and/or previous experience as a cheer coach/instructor. Ability to choreograph and teach for performances.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a parttime position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications education and experience. No benefits are associated with this position.
