What Youll Do:
As the Pricing and Cost Analyst you will evaluate and report manufacturing cost variances and communicate recommendations to address specific issues and drive margin and profit goals.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Provides thorough insight analysis and control over pricing and costing process taking into consideration material and production costs to drive margin and profit goals.
- Analyzes identifies and explains variances throughout the month and at monthend on purchase price labor and absorption to communicate recommendations and drive solutions.
- Performs margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives as required.
- Analyzes changes in product design raw material and manufacturing methods to determine effect on cost and pricing structures.
- Assists with establishment and maintenance of standard overhead and labor rates.
- Records cost information for use in controlling existing expenditures and assists with estimation of new and proposed product costs.
- Analyzes and reports inconsistencies in cost information to identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability.
- Collaborates with IT to develop pricing tools that are used throughout the company to quickly respond to changing market needs or trends.
- Works closely with Estimators and Finance to aid in the decisionmaking process and provide ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Collaborates continually with Engineering Operations and others as it relates to pricing and cost strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the overall goals of the business.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience: 3 years of pricing and cost analyst experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience in a jobshop environment would be a plus.
- Certifications: NA
- Functional Skills: Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts to achieve desired results. Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Ability to extract data from multiples systems organize and analyze the data and formulate insights and recommendations. Strong ability to prioritize and plan work activities to ensure items having the most financial impact are addressed first; ability to multitask; takes an organized approach to work. Process oriented with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Technology Skills: Advanced aptitude with computers ERP systems and Microsoft products. Advanced proficiency with Excel including LOOKUP SUMIF and Filter functions as well as Pivot Tables report layout and presentation tools. Understanding of manufacturing operations BOM and pricing functions of an ERP system to extract data and create actionable variance reports.
- Communication Skills:Strong written & verbal communication skills along with presentation skills are also required. Ability to design cogent presentations of findings both in summarized and granular formats.

Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary: Salaried role based on proven expertise.

Core Hours: 7:45 am 5:15 pm
Typical Work Week: MF; occasional weekend work where required; 45 50 hours a week on average
