Job Description
Location:
2727 N Central Ave Phoenix Arizona 85004 United States of AmericaUnder the direction of the Accounting Manager the Intern will handle a variety of Accounting duties that are both educational and real business experience.
The Intern will have an opportunity to learn about and work handson with but not limited to:
- Assist cost/profit centers in analyzing budget variances and yeartoyear fluctuations.
- Analyze total company consolidated general and administrative expenses.
- Facilitate the preparation delivery and feedback of monthly departmental expense reporting.
- Prepare various ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Create journal entries to record monthly activity/corrections for entry to the general ledger.
- Research and understand significant accounting events by inquiring to essential personnel and/or reviewing source documents.
- Prepare fixed asset reconciliation along with depreciation entries.
- Assist in designing and implementing new programs and procedures to improve accounting accuracy and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- MUST be enrolled student of Bachelors level accredited college or university in related degree focus of Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be tech savvy with Microsoft Excel
