Civil Designer
- Type:Contract to Hire
- Location:United States (Remote with 15% Travel)

Overview:
PTS Advance is seeking a Civil Designer with a strong background in site development to support engineering efforts within our clients power and infrastructure division. This position is ideal for someone skilled in Civil 3D and experienced with grading corridors feature lines storm sewer networks and storm drainage. The role offers the opportunity to grow within a multidisciplinary team working on a range of utilityscale and site development projects across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D models and plan sets based on sketches and technical inputs using Civil 3D
- Produce site layouts corridors grading and utility plans (storm sewer networks drainage systems etc.)
- Ensure proper file management and reference integration within all drawing sets
- Collaborate with internal teams and communicate design progress and issues to project leads
- Participate in internal design reviews to ensure consistency safety and constructability
- Assist with redlines RFIs and asbuilt development using construction markups
- Contribute to the development of standards checklists and internal documentation
- Attend project meetings and coordinate tasks with engineers and design staff
Qualifications:
- Associate degree Bachelors degree or vocational training in Design Drafting Technology or a related field
- 12 years of civil/site design experience preferred
- Proficiency in Civil 3D is required; experience with AutoCAD Navisworks or MicroStation is a plus
- Strong understanding of grading storm drainage corridors and utility layouts
- Familiarity with design documentation processes and CAD standards
- Effective communicator with ability to manage tasks and collaborate across disciplines
- Working knowledge of file systems spreadsheets and database tools
