What Youll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Delivery the Business Analyst provides advice/consultation typically of a strategic operational or processoriented nature to Personal & Business Banking. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of small to medium projects/programs across multiple lines of businesses assessing client needs and translating the needs into business requirements.
In alignment with CIBC standards you will support the LOBs in creating deliverables used as input for target operating models and business architecture artifacts. Using proven methods and tools the role leads the planning gathering validating and management of requirements and business testing in partnership with Project Managers Business Stakeholders and IT interfacing groups. Works with technology during the project lifecycle and contributes to technology artifacts where business input is required.
Deliver or support priority products processes offers campaigns etc. that support our strategy including the People Change Management components of the project.
Lead or participate in working sessionsor Agilesprints and as necessary supportor represent the businessin these sessions. Maintain approved requirements throughout project lifecycle. Simplify our endtoend processes and incorporate Agile concepts and practices where applicable.
Support test planning and execution and post implementation validation for Personal & Business Banking strategic Card projects/programs.
Actively seek and evaluate opportunities to improve existing processes and work with key stakeholders to implement changes where with partners within CIBC on a cross functional basis to support the strategic direction and enable the installation of effective Personal Banking strategies.

How youll succeed
Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and quality assurance best practices and experience in leading requirements sessions. Knowledge of the PBB Business domain with focus on Cards Product process management and the ability to create/manage end to end processes consistently predictable and repeatedly. Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal. Experience in leading planning and supporting business teams in business acceptance testing. Strong decision making and critical thinking skills ability to produce clear documentation.
Project Delivery: Support the end to end delivery of priority Cards Product projects processes reporting offers work packages campaigns. Perform business analysis document current and future state processes and create business requirements. Incorporate Agile concepts and practices where ever applicable. Support in test execution (Business/User Acceptance Testing) and post implementaton validation and monitoring. Ensure compliance with policies standards guidelines and controls.
Relationship Management Develop and manage internal relationships with CIBCs lines of business and other infrastructure groups as necessary to deliver strategically important projects within the approved budgets and timelines. Actively seek and evaluate opportunities to improve existing processes and work with key stakeholders to implement changes where appropriate. Work with partners within CIBC on a cross functional basis to influence strategic direction and enable the installation of effective Personal Banking strategies. Strong negotiation skills sufficient to resolve distinct differences of opinion or approach between Lines of Business; promote or negotiate on CIBCs behalf.
