Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Technical/Innovation Center in Mountain View (CA) or Warren (MI) three times per week at minimum. This position can be located at either of these 2 locations. If located in Mountain View you will be expected to travel to Michigan quarterly.
The Software & Services division of General Motors is responsible for defining and delivering the software electrical hardware and services that enable and support GM vehicles. From mechatronic infrastructure to OnStar connected services and infotainment systems to autonomous driving we are creating complete and compelling vehicle experiences for our customers.

The Role
As Senior Product Manager for Connectivity you will define and execute the Connectivity Experience roadmap throughout all invehicle touchpoints. Todays vehicles are becoming increasingly connected into our customers busy lives. They are bringing into the vehicle multiple devices like phones headphones gaming controllers and more using technologies like Bluetooth Bluetooth Low Energy UltraWideband and WiFi. Theyre also connecting to many devices outside the vehicle such as garage doors and toll plazas.
The vehicle itself is expanding its own need for a variety of external connectivity solutions such as 5G cellular and WiFi. You will lead the charge in crafting seamless futureforward solutions.
Responsibilities include anticipating future customer and business needs building strategies to enhance the management of devices and collaborating with connectivity technology Product Managers to shape the future of connected vehicle hardware and software.
Thriving in fastpaced environments demonstrating principled customercentric decisionmaking and building consensus across crossfunctional teams will be critical to delivering exceptional connectivity experiences in this role. We expect you to be proactive willing to roll up your sleeves and committed to delighting our customers with reliable and innovative solutions to challenging problems.
What Youll Do
Define and own the longterm Connectivity Experience product vision setting strategic direction for multiple product teams.
Balance user convenience business objectives and software resources to create a cohesive product roadmap.
Lead crossfunctional teams including Design Engineering Program and Product Managers to create delightful customer experiences.
Monitor emerging trends in usability and technology leveraging data research and market analysis to inform product decisions.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve connectivity solutions.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product effectiveness and success.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
5 years working on technologypowered digital products as a product manager.
Experience managing connectivity products such as Bluetooth WiFi or Ultrawideband (UWB).
Proven ability to balance tradeoffs between consumer expectations business objectives and technical constraints.
Expertise in developing solutions to complex challenges using datainformed decisionmaking and risk assessment.
Demonstrated expertise in writing with the ability to effectively balance and integrate vision strategy and technical details in a cohesive narrative.
Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively across stakeholders.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Advanced educational background (MBA Degree in Engineering Computer Science etc.).
Experience leading digital products across platforms such as mobile web or vehicle.
7 years of digital/software product management experience.
3 years of experience managing connectivity products such as Bluetooth WiFi or Ultrawideband (UWB).
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.
The salary range for this role is $131000 to $202000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance job level and individual performance.
