Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $30.51 $38.15 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description
The two MedicalSurgical short stay units (4E / 5N) care for a variety of medical and surgical patients including those with orthopedic urological gynecological neurosurgery radonc advanced respiratory needs and other complex medical conditions.
Postoperative care wound care and tracheotomy care make patient education a priority for both the patients and their caregivers after discharge.
Multiple opportunities exist for nurses to coordinate innovative treatment modalities for the surgical short stay patient population on this unit. Nurses are able to work in an area where a dynamic interdisciplinary supportive and healing approach is the focus.
Located at the Mount Zion Campus this unit provides the opportunity to work in a cutting edge environment were excellent care can be provided in a patient and family focused setting.
