Starting Range: $40.83 to $60.78 per hour
Full Range: $40.83 to $75.17 per hour

Avista and more specifically our Network Engineering department are looking for the right candidate to carry out full Layer 1 inside plant engineering related to network infrastructure. To perform engineering work in the above areas which requires broad technical and company knowledge as well as originality and judgment in the technical analysis and independent evaluation selection and modification of standard techniques procedures and criteria.
Our team looks forward to welcoming a person that is passionate about networks and service to customers. If you are a degreed engineer looking to apply your education and expertise to our Network Engineering team this position may be for you. This position regularly has the opportunity to visit field communication sites at substations on mountain tops at generation plants and other locations across our service territory where Layer 1 inside plant engineering site surveys and design work are required. This individual will be responsible for the design of all Layer 1 inside plant communication networks. The successful candidate will be a person who thrives in a fastpaced environment that encourages creativity collaboration and outofthebox thinking enabling our business partners to deliver gas and electric service through our digital transformation.

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
