EY Assurance Senior/assistant Manager FAAS Stat Reporting

As part of our EYAssurance Team the Senior/Assistant Manager will be responsible for working closely with FAAS managers and Senior Managers on clients and engagements across Americas and EMEIA to provide end to end services pertaining to Statutory reporting and compliance.

The opportunity

Were looking for incumbents who is responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per Project requirements for our FAAS team and possess strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge. The role requires prior experience and knowledge of financial reporting activities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Assisting in Managing engagement delivery Financial Accounting and Reporting and GAAP conversions.
  • Assistance in providing advice and assisting client team in accounting change (First time IFRS adoption revenue recognition) accounting policy manuals and technical accounting memorandums
  • Receive direction from the Manager and Senior Manager
  • Maintain effective coordination with multiple stakeholders. Be compatible with business accounting teams and internal partners to resolve issues
  • Detailed review of the work performed by the team members
  • Review of metrics reporting for significant processes
  • Assist in developing and uplifting the necessary documents like SOPs and other end user training materials
  • Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork informing Supervisors of engagement status
  • Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion and manage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g. guidelines of the EY FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situation

Skills and attributes for success

  • Expert knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP FRS 102 etc
  • Extensive experience in the following areas
    • Financial statement preparation and consolidation process
    • GAAP conversions and adoption of new accounting standards
    • Drafting accounting policies and writing technical memorandums
  • Technical accounting advisory on complex topics (e.g. business combinationsconsolidation debt/equity etc.)

To qualify for the role you must have

  • CA ACCA (UK) or CPA
  • 36 years relevant experience
