Job Description
- Canberra / Reid ACT Location
- Highly sought after ACT Government Organisation
- Up to 111.50/Hour including Superannuation
Our client is a large Government organisation who are seeking Workplace Safety Advisor (Formal Title: Senior HR Advisor) to join their team.
You will advise on workplace issues including early intervention rehabilitation returntowork principles and high level advice to executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify monitor and address workplace issues and trends affecting including early intervention rehabilitation and returntowork principles.
- Provide high level advice to executives managers and staff on the application and interpretation of relevant worker s compensation legislation policy and guidelines for managing injured and ill employees.
- Build manager and staff capability through learning and development activities in a range of wellbeing competencies including resilience conflict resolution effective interpersonal communication skills and working effectively in teams.
- Liaise relevant agencies across the broader ACT Government for the ongoing management of compensate and noncompensable cases.
Selection Criteria:
- Extensive experience in early intervention rehabilitation and/or case management practices.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills including liaison negotiation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation policies and guidelines relating to rehabilitation workplace health and safety and human resource operations and functions.
- Expert knowledge of the relevant worker s compensation legislation policy and guidelines for managing injured and ill employees.
Desirable Experience:
- Certificate IV in Rehabilitation and Case Management or higher tertiary qualifications in a relevant field: e.g. counseling psychology social work.
On offer is a contract role initially until the 30th of November 2025 at a highly sought after Government organisation with a highly competitive hourly rate.
