Job Description

AmaliTech 2025 National Service Programme Opportunity

Overview

AmaliTech offers a unique National Service Programme designed for finalyear students in Computer Science Computer Engineering or ITrelated fields. This oneyear professional experience provides participants with practical exposure to software engineering in areas like frontend development backend development UI/UX design quality assurance (QA) data engineering DevOps and Cybersecurity.

Participants will work in agile teams to solve realworld challenges gaining valuable technical and soft skills that position them for a successful tech career.

AWS Certification Requirement

While the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate is not mandatory to join the programme it is highly encouraged for applicants specializing in frontend development backend development data engineering and DevOps. For UI/UX and QA roles the certification is optional.

To support this requirement AmaliTech offers a free AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate Training Programme tailored for students. Finalyear students can enrol in this training earn the certification and enhance their application prospects.

Training Options:

  1. AWS Training for Students:
    • A free 15week training programme available at select universities allowing students to earn their AWS certification alongside their studies.
    • Recommended for applicants who wish to secure the certification before applying.
  2. AWS Certification After Application:
    • Earn the Cloud Practioner certification in a fasttrack programme (up to 4 weeks) that runs concurrently with the National Service Programme.
    • Applicants who dont possess the AWS certification at the time of applying can opt to participate in a fasttrack programme after their application is successful.

Hiring Process

1. Online Application:

Complete the online form and submit the following:

  • Resume (highlighting education projects and experience).
  • Academic transcripts and proof of expected graduation date.
  • Valid Ghanaian national ID.
  • GitHub profile (for engineering applicants) and Behance/Dribble (for designers)

2. Assessment:

  • For Engineering Specializations (Frontend Backend DevOps Data Engineering Mobile App Cybersecurity QA): Applicants will take a General Coding Assessment (GCA) focused on programming fundamentals problemsolving and data structures. (Minimum pass mark: 350/600).
  • For UI/UX Applicants: Applicants will take a MultipleChoice Questions (MCQ) test designed to assess their understanding of design principles user experience and interface design. (Minimum pass mark: 27/30).

3. Interview:

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a 45minute online interview to assess technical skills problemsolving abilities and communication.

4. Offer Letter:

Successful candidates will receive an offer to join AmaliTech for their national service.

Specialisations Offered

Applicants can select one of the following specialisations:

  • Frontend Development: Create interactive and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Backend Development: Build serverside systems and architecture.
  • DevOps: Automate development and deployment pipelines.
  • Data Engineering: Handle and process large datasets for decisionmaking.
  • Quality Assurance: Test and ensure software quality.
  • UI/UX Design: Design usercentric digital products.
  • Cybersecurity: Protect systems and networks from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Mobile App Development: Build native and crossplatform mobile apps for iOS and Android devices.

Location Options

Applicants can choose their preferred office location which will determine where they work during the National Service Programme.

Qualifications :

  • Ghanaian citizen completing tertiary education in this year 2025.
  • Majoring in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
  • Eligible for National Service in the 2025/2026 period.
  • Passionate about a career in software or data engineering.
