Job Description
As the Technical Designer you will contribute to Lauras success by collaborating with Designers and Category Managers and producing TechPacks showing garment engineering for each style to ensure executable creation of samples.
How will you support the team
- Create domestic and import TechPacks.
- Sketch styles using Illustrator.
- Request all fabric and style numbers for import and domestic.
- Prepare all TechPacks for handoffs to Import Coordinators.
- Fabric followup initial price sampling trim etc. with vendor (necessary information to start the concept/collection).
- Work with Designer to create execute and maintain collection boards (Illustrator & InDesign).
- Ensure all documents are uptodate.
- Research trims special construction of a garment embroideries if needed and provide trend ideas to the Designer.
- Measure original samples when needed.
- Create initial specs when needed.
- Comment on prototype samples when needed.
- Participate in fittings when needed.
Qualifications :

- A degree in Fashion Design
- 1 to 3 years experience in a similar position
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator
- A strong knowledge of fabrics and trims
- Knowledge of garment engineering
- A passion for fashion
