Job Description

Mitchell Technical College is seeking an Medical Laboratory instructor to join the Mitchell Technical College (MTC) Team beginning August 1 2025. The position is open until filled.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience in medical laboratory technology with a minimum three years experience (6000 hours) in the field.
  • Certified MLS (ASCP) MT(ASCP) or CLS (NCA) or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree Masters degreepreferred
  • Must complete requirements to become program director by June 30 2027
  • Participate in NAACLS accreditation and certification procedures
  • Pass a state and federal criminal background check.

Preferred Skills

  • Passion for training with a high level of integrity honesty and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively master change work in groups and have strong customer orientation.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have related industry experience teaching experience evidence of teaching skills and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Excellent time management organizational skills and attention to detail are a plus.

The Instructor will be responsible for:

  • Teaching assigned courses; assessing student progress in classroom and laboratory settings; developing and updating curriculum; and assisting with recruiting and advising students.
  • Leadership in both academic and workforce areas to fulfill the educational goals and objectives of theMedical Laboratory Technologyprogram and MTC.
