Job Description

Amazon is striving to source and use natural resources like raw materials and ingredients in a responsible way across its business and supply chain and we need passionate leaders to help get the Amazon Fresh Private Brands North America (AFPB NA) team meet our high sustainability bar. The AFPB NA team is looking for a Product Sustainability Manager to lead our Sustainability Compliance Program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with suppliers and partner teams in ensuring supply chain standards is able to strategically think about and manage risks challenges and opportunities in an everevolving space and has the ability to manage the compliance program while supporting product launch requirements.

This role ensures that potential and existing suppliers meet or exceed Amazons Sustainable Sourcing requirements (e.g. Animal welfare standards sourcing requirements related to Amazons nodeforestation commitment) throughout their business relationship with Amazon. This role works closely with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders to drive the sustainability compliance program and ensure the maintenance of standards. You will be expected to manage compliance requirements with new suppliers ensure maintenance of standards with existing suppliers manage transitions of in scope products to sustainably sourced commodities support Sustainable sourcing expansion initiatives and support tech builds and compliance reporting. You will be expected to work effectively across different stakeholders including Product Management Sustainability and Social Impact Process Operation & Tech Teams Supply Chain Quality and will partner closely with suppliers that drive continuous improvement in their sourcing programs.

This role will support the ideation and implementation the sustainability strategy for our AFPB NA working with various teams to execute it bring it to life and measure it.

You will join a dynamic fastpaced fun and collaborative work environment where you will help build and scale our business developing food and beverage products within both physical stores and online channels.

Key job responsibilities
Ensure compliance of all new and existing suppliers to Amazons sustainable sourcing requirements (e.g. requirements to sustainably source cocoa tea palm oil seafood meat products dairy products)
Own sustainability steps of the new product development workflow
Develop reporting mechanisms to scale track and audit supplies compliance with sustainable sourcing standards (new and existing suppliers)
Collaborate with business partners Sustainability and Social Impact and Worldwide Sustainability teams to understand new program requirements and build mechanisms to ensure and evaluate compliance
Develop and lead training activities to inform and educate broader AFPB team on program requirements and new initiatives
Lead crossfunctional team reviews to gain alignment approval and adoption of new tools and processes
Develop and maintain program SOPs policies playbooks workflows and RACIs related to sustainable sourcing requirements
Support feasibility assessments and implementation of new sustainability initiatives (e.g. on biodiversity poliniators health)
Work with Marketing teams to support externalfacing communication of AFPB NAs sustainability initiatives
Limited travel required for this role

The Amazon Fresh Private Brands (AFPB) team is composed of culinary experts brand builders product managers supply chain experts and program managers that work to build and assort food and beverage products that can be found on Amazon.
Our brands like Amazon Saver Amazon Grocery Amazon Fresh Happy Belly Aplenty provide the best value for a wide range of products across all grocery categories and help customers eat delicious and quality foods while making the most of their grocery budget.

3 years of product management experience
Experience in product program or project management in leading crossfunctional teams in delivery of major new products or services
Experience working with data and/or systems management

Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
Knowledge of risk assessment and stakeholder management
Knowledge of product development process supplier management and/or auditing
Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
Experience in audit management or site certification compliance

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
