Who We Are Seeking: A selfmotivated customerservice focused ethical and professional Elder Wellness Advocate responsible for providing compassionate support and attentive oneonone care to enhance the quality of life for our Elders. This position supports our Elders to continue independent living by helping with daily activities such as dressing bathing meal preparation medication reminders running errands laundry and light housekeeping.
Additional Responsibilities: Transporting our Elders to wellness activities and other community events; engage our Elders in activities like playing games reading and visiting; call our Elders to check in on them; document client needs and update work logs maintain confidential records and ensure confidentiality policies and practices are always followed. The Elder Wellness Advocate will also monitor and schedule vehicle maintenance and perform routine cleaning of CVTC fleet vehicles.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Drivers license and the ability to be insured on CVTCs vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position. Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
PreEmployment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a preemployment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93638 preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
