BASIC FUNCTION
Provides support and assistance in the human resources responsibilities and activities of the District. Assists in the recruitment processes employee relations and training
activities. Administrative tasks include maintenance of employee records administering benefits and respond to a wide range of human resourcesrelated inquiries.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers personnel procedures in accordance with employee agreements including classified and certified employee contracts transfers assignments benefits and leaves.
Distributes receives records and maintains personnel files; including transcripts background checks examinations credentials job descriptions benefits enrollment and other information; reviews for completeness and compliance; schedules necessary interviews and appointments.
Assists in counseling both certified and classified employees regarding benefit options. Assists employees with processing enrollments forms and payroll deductions for benefits plans.
Recruits and recommends employment of classified and certified substitutes; provides training and orientation for substitute teachers.
Provides information and assistance in person or on the telephone to district personnel and the public regarding a variety of personnel matters such as position vacancies salaries fringe benefits and personnel regulations policies and procedures.
Assists in the annual open enrollment process including counseling employees assisting employees with making enrollments and changes and processing enrollments and changes.
Receive verify and reconcile monthly billings from a variety of benefit vendors; process payments for related billings maintain records.
Serve as liaison between employees and Kentucky Department of Employee Insurance and/or insurance companies to coordinate activities exchange information and resolve issues when needed.
Compiles provides and maintains statistical information and reports when needed. 10. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED and one year experience in Human Resource office or such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary to be established by the board of education.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for classified personnel.
