Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer in the Amazon Profiles team in Personalization your work delivers transformational AIpowered endtoend experiences to seek to understand each customer uniquely and deeply. Amazon Profiles represents a highlyvisible charter with exposure and sponsorship at the STeam level. We leverage our understanding of each customer to personalize the moments that matter along the Shopping journey while making it easy for customers to tell us when we get it wrong. We leverage generative AI to use this deep customer insight to help our customers more confidently navigate their shopping journey. We partner closely with teams across Amazon to deliver a unified and cohesive experiences. Come join us as we transform Amazon into a deeply personal and relevant store!
A day in the life
As a software development engineer you design implement test and operate high quality software products. You are actively involved in team meetings like scrum meetings feature requirement gathering and estimations design and code review discussions improving team processes and standards and operations excellence. You will own software systems that span across multiple teams and influence stakeholders with clear communication skills. You innovate on behalf of the customer and strategically build features. You will mention junior SDEs and help them grow.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
