POSITION SUMMARYTeach ninth twelfthgrade students in Family and Consumer Sciences and prepare them for career opportunities in this field. Essential FunctionsMaintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws district policies and administrative all administration policies and rules governing and evaluate students performance behavior social development and physical and counsel students with adjustment or academic problems or special academic with parents or guardians other teachers counselors and administrators to resolve students behavioral and academic with parents and guardians to discuss their childrens progress and to determine priorities for their children and their resource and monitor students in the use of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and with other professionals to discuss individual students needs and with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons that promote learning following approved reports on students and activities as required by with other teachers and administrators in the development evaluation and revision of secondary school extracurricular activities such as clubs student organizations and academic staff meetings and serve on committees as professional meetings educational conferences and professional development sessions to maintain and improve professional standardized ability and achievement tests and interpret results to determine students strengths and areas of students in obtaining CTE certifications in the area of Family and Consumer store order issue and inventory classroom equipment materials and administrative duties such as assisting in school libraries hall and cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and and use appropriate knowledge of content and contentrelated knowledge of adolescent knowledge of individual students knowledge skills and special to student Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 assignments for teacher assistance volunteers and appropriately to student and set sequential outcomes with rigor and high and implement appropriate learning activities suitable to meet all students care and respect when interacting with classroom procedures with limited loss of instructional students are actively engaged in timely consistent highquality feedback to and administer assessments of rigor that match standards of on practice and make adjustments for professional professionalism with staff to the proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment neglect or to all policies of the other duties as assigned by the Principal or other & ABILITIESEducation: Bachelors Degree (fouryear College or technical school) Required Field of Study: Correlated to teaching assignment.
