Wedding & Events Coordinator

Brisbanes Leading Independent Hotel is seeking aWedding & Events Coordinator. Full or parttime.

Royal on the Park hotel is a 4.5star independent property located in the heart of Brisbanes CBD and renowned for its warm atmosphere professionalism and exceptional customer service.

About you

The newest member of our Royal Family will be someone who has a passion for events and exceeding client at your best when priorities are high and youre on the go. Youre a true ambassador for the brand you work with and this shines through in the service you deliver to your clients. Your focus will be on ensuring your clientsneeds are anticipated and met and ensuring every interaction they have with our hotel is exceptional.

The role

Reporting to our Conference & Events Manager your role will encompass:

  • Handling incoming wedding conferencing & event enquiries and responding in the first instance
  • Provide tailored WEDDING/event proposals (according to hotel standards) within a 24hour period
  • Responsibility for the growth of target markets within the events categories and all market segments chiefly within weddings and social events
  • Build and enhance client relationships via facetoface appointments site inspections and representing the hotel at external events as required
  • Working in a team environment to achieve monthly and annual targets
  • Weekly and monthly reporting with a focus on new business opportunities and competitor analysis

To be successful in this position you will need to possess the following:

  • Previous experience within a hotel (desirable)
  • Flexibility of working hours (including weekends to oversee weddings)
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills is a necessity
  • Previous experience using Opera PMS & Sales and Catering (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
