The Role
Genmab is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to join our Research & Innovation Outsourcing Management (RIOM) team on a temporary basis to support business continuity during a team members medical leave.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced professional in clinical and nonclinical lab and data services outsourcing offering autonomy collaboration and the chance to make a meaningful impact on our R&D pipeline.
The Associate Director will drive collaborate and advise on the endtoend contracting & outsourcing process for lab and data services with external service providers (e.g. Contract Research Organizations (CROs) external lab service providers etc) to support the R&D pipeline.
In addition this role will collaborate with the internal teams and our stakeholders to build outsourcing strategies and leading practices which improve values minimize risk & cost ensure quality and create scalability in a dynamic and growing organization.
The position will report to the Director Head of Research & Innovation Outsourcing Management.
Responsibilities
The key accountability of this role is to drive the endtoend outsourcing process and vendor oversight for assigned service area in close collaboration with RIOM team and crossfunctional stakeholder groups by:
- Independently lead the endtoend contracting & outsourcing process for clinical lab and data services (e.g. RFI/RFP contract negotiation and execution etc.).
- Partner with crossfunctional stakeholders (e.g. R&D Legal Procurement) to drive sustainable vendor relationships optimize performance and resolve issues.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks in vendor agreements while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards (GLP GCP etc).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across contract management and vendor governance.
Experience
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Business Administration or related field; advanced degree (e.g. MBA MS) preferred.
- 8 years in clinical lab services outsourcing within pharma biotech or CROs
- Proven ability to manage complex vendor contracts including MSAs work orders and terminations ensuring adherence to timelines quality standards and budget constraints.
- Experience in vendor management and oversight including performance evaluations and issue resolution.
- Strong understanding of drug development and regulatory environments for lab services.
- Demonstrated success in project and stakeholder management in a fastpaced crossfunctional environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
