***This is a fulltime onsite position at St Marys Hospital (5801 Bremo Road Richmond Virginia 23226).
SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst must be detailoriented and strategically minded. The Financial Analyst responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes analyzing financial statements and reports developing financial models preparing projections and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for providing department personnel with financial guidance and assisting with monthly close processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs a variety of financial activities including planning analysis budgeting and reporting. Must have strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
Tracking KPIs and preparing financial reports.
Assisting with budgeting and monthly close processes.
Understanding key business drivers.
Assisting acute care facility teams with financial guidance.
Developing financial projections and building financial models.
Performing research and analysis as required.
Ensures compliance with financial guidelines company policies and other regulations.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelors Degree
Specialty/Major Finance Accounting or related field
Combination of postsecondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
1 year of experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting (preferred)
Healthcare experience (preferred)
Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Advanced Microsoft skills (Excel PowerPoint and Word) strong organizational and multitasking skills ability to present financial information to a nonfinancial audience. (Required)
Experience with SQL and Tableau (or similar BI tools) OnBase Workday Kronos LaborLytics or other labor systems Strata or other capital management programs. (Preferred)
