Job Description

Maths (and Science) Teacher Middle & High School

Location: Milan Italy
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Fulltime Permanent

The Opportunity

Our client school in Milan is seeking a passionate dedicated and motivated Maths (and Science) Teacher to join its growing Middle and High School team from September 2025.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and be capable of delivering engaging rigorous lessons that combine academic content with realworld application. A background in experiential and projectbased learning is highly desirable and familiarity with the IB programme is considered a strong asset. Nativelevel English proficiency is essential and additional Italian language skills would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics and Science in English across Middle and High School levels

  • Design and implement engaging inclusive lessons aligned with curriculum objectives

  • Promote the schools mission and support students in becoming global citizens

  • Foster a classroom environment where all students feel safe heard and inspired to participate

  • Plan assess record and report to support varied learning needs and ensure student progress

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and act as an ambassador for the school

  • Contribute to extracurricular programmes and wider school life

  • Support and follow school policies and maintain a commitment to professional development

  • Supervise students during nonclassroom activities and uphold safeguarding standards

Qualifications & Training

  • Masters Degree in Mathematics Science or a related field

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent international teaching qualification

  • Certified to teach Secondary Schoolaged students

  • Strong command of English (native or C2 level); Italian a plus

  • Experience with IB curriculum preferred

Experience & Skills

  • Proven success teaching Mathematics and/or Science in Middle and High School settings

  • Experience in international or bilingual schools preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Confident classroom management and ability to inspire students

  • Capable of leading initiatives and working collaboratively within a team

  • Committed to safeguarding equality and student wellbeing

  • Resilient flexible and highly organised

  • Eagerness for continuous professional growth
