JOB TITLE:
Centennial Complex Security
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide a safe environment for centennial complex patrons. JFNTMP
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide security for valuable artwork in a museum setting.
Provide security for the Centennial Complexs loading dock area.
Serve via radio and intercom as the eyes and ears for Security Officers and UWPD sworn officers in providing for the security and protection of visitors.
Wear a clean uniform and follow the appearance guidelines which include a provided polo shirt. Shorts ball caps and sandals are not permitted
Report deficiencies in the museums physical setting to the Security Officers.
Be alert and attentive and on your feet at all times with or without reasonable accommodation when the public is present.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be registered and current University of Wyoming students.
Valid drivers license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Use Policy.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Available shifts are Monday through Saturday 10am to 5pm.
There are clothing requirements that preclude wearing shorts sandals or ball caps. Uniform polo shirts will be provided.
Must be absolutely punctual; museum facilities must open on schedule and security must be present before this can be done.
Must be able to work full shifts often with little or no direct supervision.
Must be alert and attentive when the public is present; involves long hours on your feet with or without reasonable accommodation.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Can only accept applicants able to work some or all of the shifts shown. Applicants must be able to work an entire shift (i.e. My class ends at 10:00 so I will be late for a 10:00 startup cannot be accepted).
