Part-Time Online Life Science Teacher

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in a Life Science field or Science Education.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience including online instruction
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet grading and project deadlines
• High energy strong work ethic and the ability to effectively engage with teenagers in an online environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to responding promptly to all communications.
• Eagerness to serve in a faithbased learning environment that emphasizes faithful Christian scholarship and character formation
• Proficiency with technology including the ability to navigate a learning management system (e.g. Canvas LMS) online educational tools and create screencasts/videos.
• Reliable high speed internet access.
• Experience working collaboratively with a team of teachers with a focus on providing and receiving feedback in a transparent growthoriented culture.
• Ability to interact professionally with parents students and other community members.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity as our students come from diverse global backgrounds
• A demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning
• Maturity and stability to thrive in a demanding role.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous instruction and support.
• Grade student assignments and provide timely constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Gravitas curriculum.

Salary Range: $6000 per section
