POSITION: Special Education Teacher Autism Program
LOCATION: Woodville Elementary School

OVERVIEW:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our STRIVE Program at Woodville Elementary School. STRIVE is our districtwide substantially separate program designed to meet the needs of students with Autism through highly individualized evidencebased instruction. This position is for a Kindergarten classroom serving six students each with unique strengths and varying inclusion opportunities as outlined in their IEPs.
The program is supported by a BCBA who collaborates closely with classroom staff to develop implement and refine Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. Our STRIVE classrooms also benefit from robust paraprofessional support ensuring a high stafftostudent ratio and allowing for meaningful smallgroup and oneonone instruction.
STRIVE uses the ACE ABA Software System developed by the New England Center for Children (NECC) providing educators with a comprehensive and researchbased framework for data collection instructional planning and skill development. The ideal candidate will be part of a collaborative supportive team and committed to promoting student growth independence and inclusion in the school community.
