The Opportunity:
The Performance Improvement Specialist (under the supervision of the Administrator) performs ongoing quality assurance per regulatory requirements with all organizational professional governmental and certifying agency standards in delivery and coordination of providing high quality resident care.
The starting pay range for this position is $49750 to $54000 annually based on experience. This is a full time onsite position.

What Youll Do:
- Be knowledgeable of applicable State and Federal Codes and the ability to develop policies and procedures designed to meet those standards
- Oversees and conducts audits. Includes reviewing records reports software and any other programs and activities affected by regulations.
- Performs data collection for investigations of potential compliance issues and for other compliance activities.
- Prepares reports of audits reviews and investigations.
- Reviews medical and billing records to evaluate the clinical documentation for quality of care outcome and reimbursement compliance for services provided.
- Evaluates the quality of clinical documentation practices and collaborates with staff and management on remediation plan when indicated.
- Identify and report compliance concerns appropriately.
- Identify proactively through auditing and internal reporting trends and collaborate with management on recommendations for change to procedures or practices that are not in compliance with stated regulations.
- Identify risks. Analyze potential risks within specific areas of the organization in order to avoid compliance issues. This could include reviewing risk assessments studies conducted by government agencies and professional organizations to gauge the possible risk potential of the organization
- Analyze data and conduct root cause analysis of data to determine best plan of correction.
- Partners with department leadership throughout the facility to establish ongoing compliance monitors and reports as needed.
What You Bring:
Required:
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 3 years experience in longterm care
Preferred:
- A certificate or degree related to skilled nursing/long term care (examples include but are not limited to C.N.A. LPN PT/OT/ST certifications and licenses licenses social worker)
- 5 or more years experience in the medical field longterm care preferred
- Previous quality experience
