We are looking for an experienced Finance professional to join Edgewell Personal Care a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword Schick Hawaiian Tropic Carefree Bulldog Skincare for Men Jack Black and Cremo Grooming just to name a few!).
Now Lets Get Down To Business
The Senior Accountant will lead key accounting activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the companys financial records. This role involves overseeing journal entries supervising balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with internal controls and US GAAP. Key tasks include preparing higherrisk journal entries managing intercompany transactions and balances and providing detailed financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with colleagues and the Global Business Services (GBS) team to ensure offshore activities align with company policies. This position requires strong analytical skills leadership ability and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
Heres a sample of what youll get up to:
Oversee and review the preparation and posting of journal entries in compliance with company policies US GAAP and EU local GAAP requirements.
Lead monthly account reconciliations resolving discrepancies promptly and supervise reconciliations prepared by staff accountants.
Collaborate with the Global Business Services (GBS) team to monitor and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of offshore accounting activities.
Provide leadership in managing intercompany transactions ensuring balances align with GAAP and company policies.
Review and approve documentation for internal and external audits ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor inquiries.
Ensure robust compliance with internal controls identifying gaps and implementing improvements as needed.
Analyse financial statements to provide insights into account fluctuations and support management decisionmaking.
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone with significant Finance/ Accountancy experience ideally gained within a consumer goods/ personal care/ cosmetics industry. While your experience is of course important were all about making useful things joyful so we love when our prospective candidates are passionate about this too.
Heres what we are looking for:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
Accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data.
Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and its practical application.
At least basic tax knowledge (VAT CIT)
Proven experience in a US publicly listed company is preferred.
Proficiency with advanced accounting software including SAP Blackline and Hyperion is a strong plus.
Experience with financial statement preparation (including US GAAP to local GAAP reconciliation) is a plus.
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Experience with intercompany accounting multicurrency transactions and financial analysis.
Advanced analytical and problemsolving abilities to provide actionable insights.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial reporting activities.
