Job Description

As one of the nations largest singlesource providers of lighting and electrical products electrical services electrical construction and energy management solutions Facility Solutions Group is expanding their staff and seeking an Sr. Electrical Estimator to join our FSG San Antonio team.
As a Service Electrical Estimator you will skillfully obtain and track subcontract bids and negotiate budgets for our Service/Small Projects Division in San Antonio. Prepare and present estimate documentation including gaps in available data. Read and interpret plans proposals and other documentations to create bids. Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual cost.

Responsibilities
Communicate with customers to define the project scope address deficiencies negotiate pricing and build relationships
Perform necessary research to produce accurate complete and competitive pricing.
Review completed estimates and proposals for thoroughness accuracy value engineering alternatives and compliance with strategic goals.
Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities.
Prepare proposals for budgetary and conceptual estimates and for strategic opportunities.
Attend prebid meetings and/or meets with customers to identify project scope.
Prepare or supervise the preparation of bid documents and ensures timely delivery.
Attends bid descope meetings and ensures completion of open items.
Schedule and attend job turnover meetings and assures preparation of job turnover meeting materials.
Ensure job labor data generated by operations department is analyzed and reflected in estimating database in order to accurately reflect field productivity in estimates.
Schedule and attend project post mortems and catalogues historical information.
Review material pricing provided by purchasing and suppliers and adjusts estimating database and procedures accordingly.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
10 years of experience as Journeyman Electrician with at least 25 years of estimating experience during course of career.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred).
Ability to multitask in a high volume fastpaced work environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be organized detailedoriented and efficient.
Experience bidding highrise commercial residential and mixed use buildings design builds tenant finishouts and low voltage projects a must!
