Were expanding our Low Carbon Energy Products Team so were looking for an experienced Sales Team Leader who will be responsible for inspiring and managing a frontline sales team bringing lowcarbon solutions like Heat Pumps and Solar Panels to households across the country.
As a Sales Team Leader your team will be the face and the voice of Octopus Energy Services working directly with customers and guiding them on their journey to adopting lowcarbon solutions in their homes. Youll focus on coaching team development driving performance and ensuring exceptional customer experiences every step of the way.
An interest in sustainability is a must along with a passion for bringing to life the real benefits of our offer and understanding the importance of providing customers with a truly exceptional experience.
What youll do
Drive Results: Manage your sales team to identify and win new business with customers achieving and exceeding sales targets
Optimise Workflows: Distribute and manage sales leads across your team and ensure these are managed in a timely manner
Inspire Excellence: Cultivate a highperformance culture through regular 1:1 coaching clear goal setting and actionable feedback
Grow Your Team: Recruit and nurture talent to build a highperforming team
Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience: Ensure your team provides outstanding customer service capturing customer feedback to continuously improve
Collaborate: Share best practices with your colleagues and develop a consistent approach to drive performance across all teams
Promote Innovation: Help spread the word about new products empowering your team to become advocates for the latest lowcarbon solutions
What youll need
Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrable experience and success managing and motivating a B2C internal (phone based) team is a must
CustomerCentric Mindset: A strong focus on the customer with a genuine passion for delivering aboveandbeyond experiences for customers
Performance Management Expertise: Strong background in team development performance tracking and continuous improvement
Sales Savvy: Experience in consultative sales within a B2C environment and a knack for building robust sales pipelines
Adaptability: A startup mindset with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced everevolving business environment
Technical Curiosity: Eagerness to understand our lowcarbon products and guide customers in adopting sustainable energy solutions (a background in Heat Pumps would be ideal but not essential)
Passion For Sustainability: Genuine enthusiasm for decarbonisation and energy technology
OfficeBased: Willing and able to work from the office five days per week
