About Impulse Labs

Impulse Labs is redefining home energy with appliances that double as battery storage making homes more resilient and energyefficient. We are a venturebacked fastscaling Series A startup on the path to Series B and need a highly experienced strategic operator to work alongside our CEO.

Role Summary

As Chief of Staff you will act as a trusted right hand to the CEO owning critical companywide initiatives and enabling highvelocity execution. Your mission is to 4x the CEOs capacity by solving complex operational challenges driving strategic projects and ensuring crossfunctional alignment at the highest level.

The ideal candidate has 815 years of experience in leadership roles such as Founder Chief of Staff COO GM BizOps lead or investor with a strong track record of scaling startups leading fundraising and managing executive operations in a highgrowth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic CEO Leverage & Executive Operations

  • Own the CEOs priorities Track commitments drive execution follow up on action items and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Own the CEOs strategic initiatives making independent decisions to unblock execution across the company.

  • Structure and manage the CEOs decisionmaking processensuring focus on the highestvalue work and eliminating distraction. Ruthlessly prioritize meetings remove distractions and block off focus time.

  • Develop executivelevel materials for board meetings investor updates and fundraising.

  • Directly represent the CEO in meetings with investors key partners and internal leadership when necessary.

  • Ensure highimpact communication by drafting critical messages prep for meetings synthesizing information keeping stakeholders informed and translating decisions into clear next steps.

  • Build and maintain the CEOs task system Manage their todo list inbox calendar and delegation process.

CompanyWide Operations & Execution

  • Run companywide operating rhythmssetting clear OKRs driving accountability and ensuring teams execute effectively.

  • Own crossfunctional problemsolvingstepping in or assigning the correct owner to resolve highstakes challenges that lack a clear owner.

  • Ensure highvelocity execution by systematically tracking key decisions removing blockers and ensuring timely followthrough.

  • Optimize internal processes and structure as we scale from Series A to Series B.

Investor & Board Relations

  • Lead Series B fundraising executiontracking investor outreach preparing fundraising materials and managing due diligence.

  • Own investor communicationsensuring consistent highquality updates to stakeholders.

  • Prepare board materials and drive boardlevel strategic discussions.

Special Projects & Scaling

  • Drive key strategic initiatives that will define the next stage of Impulse Labs growth.

  • Own hiring and teambuilding initiativesensuring we recruit and onboard top talent at an executive level.

  • Proactively identify gaps in the organization and solve them.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Operator You have 815 years of experience in highgrowth startups venturebacked companies or equivalent strategic roles.

  • Founder/Executive Mindset Youve either been a founder a senior executive or a toptier Chief of Staff and know how to run a company.

  • Highly Strategic & ExecutionOriented You dont just analyze problems; you solve them and drive results.

  • Trusted Partner to the CEO You have the judgment leadership and decisionmaking ability to act as an extension of the CEO.

  • Deeply Experienced in Investor Relations You know how to handle fundraising investor updates and board communications at a high level.

  • Operationally WorldClass You understand how to design and implement systems that allow a company to scale from Series A to Series B and beyond.

  • Autonomous operator you thrive in a role where youre expected to figure things out and execute with minimal oversight.

  • Project Presentation (60 min)

    • Given context shared create a draft of a 30/60/90 plan for this role. Include OKRs for individual roles with metics and present to the group.

    • 40 minutes preparing

    • 20 minutes presenting QA
