Staff Accountant

We are looking foran ambitiousStaff Accountant to provide support to the accounting department by managing daily accounting will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the companys finances. The ideal candidate will be wellversed in accounting principles and be able to work comfortably with numbers while prioritizing attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficiency of the department and assist the company in being fully aware of its financial condition to accomplish longterm success.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accounts payable by tracking all incoming invoices and ensure timely payments
- Maintain accounts receivable prepare billing and supporting information
- Communicate with vendors and confirm bank information
- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in the reconciliation of bank and credit card statements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or associate degree in accounting finance or relevant field
- 12 years of experience in accounting field
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Strong excel experience (VLOOKUPS Pivot Tables Index Match SUMIFS)
Preferred Skills
- Experience utilizing QuickBooks Sage Intacct or SAP is a plus
- Multiple entities reconciliation

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Federal Trade Commission warn that employment scams such as this are a growing cyber threat. EKN urges anyone who is contacted about employment opportunities to exercise caution and know that:
- All communication from EKN Engineering will be from an EKN employee using the @ email domain. We do not use thirdparty recruiters.
- EKN Engineering recruiters will only schedule interviews for candidates who have applied for a position through our secure portal.
- No corporate or IT systems at EKN are affected by this scam. The scammers are using EKNs logo and employee names to impersonate the company.
