What Youll Do
Product & Technology Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstras software and IT systems working on some really cuttingedge technologies.
- Design and implement responsive user interfaces using modern frontend technologies like HTML CSS JavaScript and frontend frameworks (primarily React JS).
- Develop serverside applications and RESTful APIs using backend technologies such as Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate frontend and backend components to create a seamless user experience.
- Perform database design and development including data modelling queries and optimization.
- Ensure the applications performance security and scalability meet industry best practices and project requirements.
- Test and debug web applications to identify and resolve issues.
- Continuously improve and refactor code for better performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers for smooth deployment and release processes.
- Stay up to date with latest technologies frameworks and industry trends.
- Participate in code reviews provide feedback and mentor junior developers.
- Organize and conduct showcases for product owners and stakeholders.
About You
- Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering or related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with 10 years experience and a strong portfolio.
- Experience in Java 17 and JavaScript.
- Solid knowledge of backend technologies like Java Spring Boot and databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB).
- Proficiency in frontend technologies like HTML CSS JavaScript and React 16 and above
- Knowledge of accessibility tools and guidelines.
- Working knowledge of JIRA.
- Ability to fix SonarQube issues.
- Experience in deploying code on the cloud
- Ability to coordinate deployment activities.
- Experience with Selenium and Postman (or other API testing tools).
- Knowledge and experience of REST APIs and Apigee.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk New Relic etc.
