Job Description
Forestry Equipment Operator
General
Creative Management Technology is seeking a Forestry Equipment Operator to support field activities for routine maintenance and tree shearing services on noninterstate roadways for the Florida Department of Transportation.
Experience with the safe operation of large and small forestry and construction equipment is required. Projects involve maintenance forestry tree trimming and mulching and miscellaneous roadway construction support.
Job Responsibilities
- Experience with tree shearingand mulching equipment loader excavator grader bulldozer skid steer and water truck.
- Experience with heavy equipment maintenance and minor repairs is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years in lineofsight tree trimming maintenance and roadway equipment operations.
- Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License.
- Working knowledge of The FDOT Standard Plans for Road and Bridge Construction and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and other traffic control procedures for work zones.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Physical Requirements
- Operating heavy construction equipment can be physically demanding and may require lifting up to 100 pounds of equipment parts supplies and materials.
CMTI will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all local state and federal laws.
