Job Description
Command Post Technologies inc. is hiring for a seniorlevel position in finite element modeling for complex structural analysis. In this role you will develop meshes and models conduct analyses using local and DoD highperformance computing systems and evaluate component and system failure modes. Youll also be responsible for calculating structural margins performing trade studies on various loading conditions and materials and presenting your findings. The role offers exciting opportunities to collaborate with a national team support test events lead analysis projects and contribute to the development of new technologies and capabilities. While prior experience with highspeed aerospace structures or Sandia National Labs SIERRA tool suite is a plus its not required.
Clearance: Active TopSecret clearance with SCI (TS/SCI) is required.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Perform highfidelity computational physics analysis using finite element software tools to assess the structural survivability of hypersonic weapon concepts and test hardware.
- Engage with national teams supporting the development and fielding of new weapon concepts and provide computational modeling subject matter expertise.
- Generate briefing materials documentation reports and other artifacts to inform programmatic and design decisions.
- Work is onsite
- Must have a TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Bachelors degree with a focus in aerospace engineering mathematics computer engineering or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant topics.

- Ability to work as a team member and to develop solutions through background investigation research and discussion.
- Ability to use advanced techniques and to modify and extend theories precepts and practices in the areas of structural and/or coupled fluidthermalstructural design and analysis.
- Ability to plan and coordinate individual assignments as well as assignments for others to meet project goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to effectively and accurately convey status and identify assess and communicate risks.
- Understanding of computational mesh generation principles and proficiency with mesh generation tools.
- Proficiency in commercial or government off the shelf finite element finite volume or finite difference solvers applied to structural problems (Sierra Solid Mechanics or Abaqus preferred).
- Experience with highperformance computing resources composite materials hightemperature effects or failure modes.
