Overview
Role: Senior Energy System Consultant/Modeller
Location: Athens Greece Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
- Operate maintain and update the CompactPRIMES and PRIMES current model versions. Develop countryspecific versions for CompactPRIMES.
- Collect structure maintain and analyse countryspecific databases with relevance for energy economy and power sector.
- Work closely with other modellers and analysts and contribute to the preparation of energy policy scenarios.
- Draft reports and/or presentations on the energy sector based on model results.
- Undertake the managment of project in collaboration with other senior colleagues.
- Contribute to proposal preparation.
Key Competencies and Experience
- Hold an MSc degree in engineering applied mathematics or physics.
- Proven work and/or research experience in the field of energy systems analysis or engineering. Experience in operations research mathematical programming optimization modelling or general software programming is an asset.
- Demonstrated data management skills including the ability to use programming tools preferably GAMS or Python or R for modelling.
- Be an excellent user of MS Office with emphasis on MS Excel (including VBA).
- Be proficient in English (verbal and written).
- Have a good understanding of European and/or international energy and environmental policy issues and of fundamentals of economic theory.
- Have a detailoriented and problemsolving mindset collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.
- Proven writing skills gained through (co) authorship of academic articles technical and/or policy reports in English is an asset.
