Job Description

People & Culture Summer Student

Accountable for:
The People &Culture Administrator will be responsible for providing support to thePeople & Culture department. You will lead a project to ensure allpositions in the organization have up to date job descriptions. You will gain exposure to our talentacquisition process benefits and occupational health and safety program.

Work location: Calgary Alberta
Term: May 20 2025 to August 222025
Working hours: 8:30am 4:30pm (35 hours/week)
Wage: $18/hour

Responsibilities:
The primaryresponsibilities of the People & Culture Administrator are:
  • Develop a project plan to ensure all employees in the organization have up to date job descriptions
  • Meet with employees to understand their positions in the organization
  • Write new or update existing job descriptions and job postings
  • Assist with various P&C initiatives including our Equity Diversity Inclusion and Belonging strategy Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy and job hazard assessment education
  • Identify areas in which AI could be utilized within the P&C department
  • Scan upload and organize employee files into the HRIS as required

Qualificationsand skills:
Must be betweenthe ages of 16 and 30 as this position is partially funded by the Canada SummerStudent grant program
Currentlyenrolled in a postsecondary education in Human Resources or BusinessAdministration with a focus on Human Resources or related area and returningto a postsecondary institution following your work term. Candidates must be atleast in the 2nd year of their Program.
  • Available and legally authorized to work in Canada for a 14week full time workterm
  • Previous work experience in an administrative capacity office setting and/or Human Resources would be considered an asset
  • You have the ability to manage confidential information are discrete and ethical
  • You are a critical thinker solutions orientated and have a high attention to detail
Knowledge:
  • A background in Human Resources
  • Experience with a HR Information System would be beneficial
