Rate of Pay: $28.00/hour USD
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Talent and Culture responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- The ability to possess a high level of professionalism and integrity while maintaining the confidentiality of the department
- Assist with administrative functions
- Assist with compliance audits
- Assist colleagues & Leaders with basic Talent and Culture questions
- Lead internal Resort functions and monthly Talent and Culture colleague events
- Maintain the Human Resources System (Dayforce)
- Maintain monthly Talent and Culture internal communication bulletin boards and posting current and up to date information
- Use a variety of methods to promote Fairmont Grand Del Mars department information and standards including but not limited to updating bulletin boards daily pre-shifts and training materials as needed
- Assist with reporting workers compensation claims to carrier in a timely manner
- Assist with safety training initiatives
- Assist with coordinating benefit eligibility letters to colleagues and hosting benefits seminars
- Assist with department and benefits billing is completed each month
- Maintain the HRB System including input output and report processing
- Process and maintain confidential information and to properly document information for payroll purposes i.e. new hire personal information wage changes termination etc.
- Promote a positive Colleague culture through an environment that encourages open communication trust mutual respect and fun
- Assist with and support staff events of direct line committee organization employee communication bulletin boards employee of the month program employee picnics parties volunteering events and general meetings
- Assist with recruitment and training as needed
Qualifications :
- Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field (preferred).
- One year of experience in a Human Resources or administrative role (required).
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Bilingual ability is an asset
