Job Description

OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Senior Director Financial Planning & Strategic Analysis the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will play a critical role in informing strategic and financial decisionmaking within Year Up United. You will regularly partner with Regional Finance Directors and the National Finance team to support Year Up Uniteds Direct Service and National departments. You will serve as a key contributor to Year Up Uniteds annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes and you will provide analytical and strategic support on other key FP&A deliverables. In addition to producing timely and accurate financial reporting to monitor progress and ensure predictability you will also conduct ad hoc analyses into organizational trends and overall financial impact with an eye for elevating the quality of overall decisionmaking within the organization.

As a successful candidate you already have a solid understanding of financial principles and financial systems and you are looking to apply your skill set within an evolving and dynamic nonprofit. You are detailorientated and naturally analytical you excel at demonstrating logical thinking when gathering analyzing and presenting financial reporting and analysis. You feel empowered to raise and address systemsrelated questions and you feel empowered to seek out improvements to existing financial process. You are adept at prioritizing your workload and you can effectively navigate timesensitive and competing requests. You approach your responsibilities to your teammates and crossfunctional partners with a service mindset.

In keeping with Year Up Uniteds values the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will also have the opportunity to interact with students as a mentor group facilitator and advocate participating in building a positive educational environment.

This is a hybrid and location flexible role we are open to candidates living in any of the states in which Year Up United operates a strong preference for candidates located on the East Coast to align with team collaboration and working hours.
