Be a Star at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts!
Located in downtown Tampa the Straz offers flexible hours eventbased schedules including evenings and weekends and a teambased work environment. Straz benefits for parttime staff include employee discounts and a 403(b) plan.
The Bartender is responsible for serving beverages to Center guests.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.
- Use POS system to ring orders and accurately maintain inventory.
- Wash and sterilize glassware.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons.
- Present drink menus make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters sinks utensils shelves and storage areas.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and some holidays.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Working knowledge of beer wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.

- The employee is occasionally required to move up to 50lbs ascend/descend on ladders and move in confined spaces.
