Job Description

Finance Clerk Summer Student

The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group ofCompanies (ANHWP Group) is Albertas most experienced and most trusted newhome warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. As Albertas leader innew home warranty products and services for 50 years we continue to raise thebar to meet the needs of homeowners and our Builder Members.

This position resides with The Alberta NewHome Warranty Program (ANHWP) and works alongside The New Home WarrantyInsurance (Canada) Corporation (NHWICC) and the Professional Home BuildersInstitute of Alberta (PHBI) and Dweller Home Services.

Accountable for:

The Finance Clerk will be responsible for providingsupport to the Finance department. You will assist with manyaspects of our operation in collaboration with our experienced team to supportfinancial routines and processes as well as reconciliations financialstatements accounts payables invoicing and others.

Work location: Calgary Alberta

Term: May 20 2025 to August 222025

Working hours: 8:30am 4:30pm (35 hours/week)

Wage: $18/hour

Responsibilities:

The primaryresponsibilities of the Finance Clerk are:

Skills andExperience:

Must be between 1630years oldas this position is partially funded by the Canada SummerStudent grant program
  • Currently enrolled in a postsecondary education in Accounting or Business Administration or related area and returning to a postsecondary institution following your work term. Candidates must be at least in the 2nd year of their Program.
  • Available and legally authorized to work in Canada for at least 14 week full time workterm
  • Previous work experience in an administrative capacity office setting and/or finance would be considered an asset
  • You have the ability to manage confidential information are discrete and ethical
  • You are a critical thinker solutions orientated and have a high attention to detail

Knowledge:

  • A background in Finance
