We have operations all over the world including production facilities located in Sweden United States and China. We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Manager at our Newport Arkansas location.
Purpose
This employee is responsible for providing leadership guidance support and oversight of the H&S Management system as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal State and local regulations applicable to occupational Safety and Health (OHS). The role will also serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Confined Space Entry Fall Prevention and Protection and Contractor Safety Management. This position will support all locations in the Americas region.
Job Description
- Lead and provide expert handson technical involvement on issues safety programs maintenance programs and processes to ensure compliance and risk reduction with a special focus on confined space entry fall prevention/control and contractor safety management.
- Control owner and author of the standards applicable to confined space entry fall prevention/control and contractor safety ensuring they are provided and maintained in accordance with the requirements.
- Support accident investigations as required by ensuring all incidents and serious near misses are fully investigated and produced detailed reports with identified root causes and measures required to mitigate or control the hazards.
- Create and manage internal cross audit program for the region and support global cross audits as needed.
- Support sitebased resources in the maintenance of programs and procedures.
- Develop sitebased resources increasing their technical competence in OHS programs.
- Interpret communicate and drive action based on trends and insights.
- Work simultaneously on multiple projects with various deadlines and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the global organization and external partners
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in EHS or related field. May substitute additional years of experience for education requirement.
- Minimum of 7 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Rolling mill or foundry experience a plus.
- Experience with EHS management systems to include ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications: Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in explaining technical and/or regulatory issues and concerns to a varied audience.
- Travel is required.
