Job Name: Sr. Welder
Job description
Summary:Fabricate assemblies and welded structures using welding techniques by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Perform all position welding on structural assemblies in accordance with welding requirements and dimensional and alignment specifications.*
2. Position and clamp components in holding fixtures or on turntables where available for welding. Work with care to maintain dimensions.*
3. Plasma cut details when required.*
4. Work from drawings and templates.*
5. Use precision measuring instruments to include rule scale protractor straight edge caliper and magnetic drill.*
6. Follow instructions provided on new work variations fitup and welding difficulties.*
7. Work must be of such quality that it will pass inprocess inspection final inspection first article and test.*
8. Obtain and/or maintain certification to AWS D1.1 D1.6 D1.2.*
9. Read blueprints and or drawings to assemble and weld products.*
10. Fabricate and or modify metal components for product assembly.*
11. Complete job orders to meet shipment deadlines.*
Specialized Training:
Familiarity with welding carbon and stainless steels and aluminum in all positions.
Certificates and Licenses:
Maintain certifications on mig tig and fluxcore per AWS
Equipment:
Forklifts all types of welding and brazing equipment saws sanders grinders plasma cutters calipers slide rules and degree protractors.
Knowledge Skills and Other Abilities:
Knowledge of welding procedures styles and positions
Metal preparation of metals to be welded
Organizational skills
Interpersonal and communication skills
