General Summary:
- Under general direction manages and directs the daytoday administration and scheduling for vehicle maintenance requests.
- Administers and coordinates the biannual inspection of all ADA equipment and annual COMAR inspections for MDOT/DOT compliance.
- Maintains files/reports for preventative maintenance and inspection of fleet vehicles including management of MVA records and documentation.
- Manages and maintains department financial bookkeeping including processing purchase orders project quotes service agreements contracts and invoices for all Sheppard Pratt Fleet.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Work requires strong oral and written communication skills the ability to maintain accurate bookkeeping and budget records and proficiency with computer software (Excel Outlook PowerPoint) acquired through high school and six to twelve months of additional secretarial/computer software/bookkeeping course work.
- Work requires knowledge of work performed in various trade shops sufficient to analyze and prioritize work orders and resources; to estimate time lines and costs of projects; and effectively administer schedules and management information systems for a large department acquired in three to five years of related experience.
- Work requires analytical ability in order to estimate time and cost requirements; assign priorities; assist in preparation of department budget by pulling prior years expenses; prepare purchase orders and read and interpret outside vendor shops PM concerns.
- Work requires keeping track of all vehicle registrations VIEP and other MVA related requirements updated.
- Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to assign work orders to trade supervisors convey assignments to contractors and explain Departmental and Hospital policies and procedures to internal staff and external contractors in difficult situations.
- Work requires problemsolving skills sufficient to effectively coordinate schedule and supervise trades and services within established policies practices and standards; provide prompt coordination of response to emergencies; and exercise good judgment on daily work processes and department administration.
- Work creating reports from the Computerized Maintenance Management Information System (CMMS) and maintaining data requires concentration attention to detail and adherence to important deadlines.
- Work requires talking hearing midrange vision and field of vision.
- Operating company vehicles.
