Job Description

Reports To: Director Project Management

Duty Days: 238 Days

Wage/Hour Status:Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: AS05

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Strong customer service interpersonal and communication skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively across internal and customer groups

Strong problem-solving skills and inherent decision making ability

Good initiative and assertiveness

Good project management skills and ability to organize work in an efficient manner in addition to the ability to work well under stress and time pressures

Primary Purpose:

As directed by IT management provide support and assist the Director of Project Management in planning and executing various Technology projects. Assist Project Coordinators with responsibilities to ensure successful completion of Technology projects.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. With oversight from the Project Manager assist in planning and executing minor technology projects.
  2. Assist with building project spreadsheets maps and other documentation to support successful project completion.
  3. Review project tasks schedule personnel for projects and track progress.
  4. Proactively communicate project status issues and risks to management and project stakeholders throughout the life of the project.
  5. Maintain and submit appropriate records as needed for all projects including saving and posting supporting documentation for retrofit projects.
  6. Report trends and recommend improvements as needed.
  7. Serve as escalation resource for higher level issues.
  8. Serve as point of contact to Project Coordinators for problem resolution.
  9. Initiate escalation as appropriate to ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or have a high impact to the customer community.
  10. Initiate and track problem assignments to other IT resources vendors and other resources as identified.
  11. Monitor and notify management and customer on the status of problem resolution.
  12. Document procedures for problem resolution.
  13. Assist with accounting and financial duties as required.
  14. Strive to improve technical and professional skills by participating in training. opportunities offered internally & externally.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:

Personal computer printer copier and telephone

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions. Physically able to handle small equipment and boxes

Some travel will be required throughout the district for the purposes of meeting with stakeholders planning and supervising project work.
