Job Description

Our client is a trusted and established manufacturer and distributor of highquality fasteners serving a wide range of industries from its headquarters in Birmingham Alabama. Known for its reliability product expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction the company offers an extensive inventory of standard and specialty fasteners including hex bolts anchor bolts Ubolts timber bolts and customfabricated studs and rods. With all products available in a variety of materials and finishes the company prides itself on its inhouse capabilities and quick turnaround times. Focused on operational efficiency and service excellence our client is looking to hire a motivated and experienced Inventory Specialist.

Responsibilities:

    • Generate and print Picking Tickets with CAD drawings for all orders.
    • Guide Shipping & Receiving team on distribution order fulfillment.
    • Maintain accuracy in Purchase Order (PPO) processing and Bills of Materials (BOMs) ensuring complete documentation and tracking.
    • Supervise Shipping & Receiving team (3 employees) to ensure ontime order fulfillment and delivery.
    • Manage steel inventory including grading using Steel Certifications to ensure proper stock allocation.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking with the Production Manager.
    • Ensure timely highquality deliveries including scheduling freight (BOLs) and coordinating routes with the local driver.
    • Directly oversee Shipping & Receiving staff and a skilled machinery operator.
    • Collaborate with the Production Manager to improve workflow and efficiency.
    • Maintain open communication to quickly resolve inventory and delivery issues.

Qualifications:

    • Industry experience in fasteners or related manufacturing
    • Proficiency in ordering/invoicing systems Microsoft Office and data entry
    • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Handson experience with manufacturing machinery
    • Knowledge of Steel Certifications for accurate grading and inventory allocation
$20 $30 an hour
The above pay is based on experience
