A downtown Syracuse law firm is hiring a Reporting and Data Analyst to manage the creation maintenance and analysis of production data. The Analyst ensures timely and accurate generation of reports and key financial analyses that are essential for the firms operational and strategic decision making.
Duties:
Process daily and monthly data warehousing from the firms time and billing system ensuring data is accurate and ready for analysis
Collect cleanse and analyze data from multiple sources such as client and matter management systems timekeeping systems and financial systems to develop actionable insights reports and dashboards
Grow and maintain the firms reporting databases
Design and generate regular business performance reports including financial reports sales and marketing metrics and other key operational statistics
Identify trends and patterns within production data including timekeeper efficiency client profitability and matter performance providing senior management with actionable insights and recommendations
Ensure data quality by implementing validation rules and performing quality assurance checks to maintain consistency across reports and analyses
Create and maintain detailed SSRS and Power BI reports including the development of underlying database structures stored procedures and the integration of data from various sources
Prepare and distribute regularly scheduled reports on financial performance client matters billable hours collections and other key metrics
Develop adhoc reports and executivelevel presentations to support strategic initiatives and management decisionmaking
Assist in the preparation of detailed analyses of client profitability matter cost performance timekeeper utilization realization and other KPIs specific to a law firm environment
