Job Description
The opportunity
As the National Design & Services Manager at Hindmarsh you will operate at a national level and be responsible for leadership of the design and services management functions.
Reporting to the National Construction Manager you will:
- Develop maintain and implement the Hindmarsh Design Management plan
- Work with project teams nationally to ensure that Hindmarsh design and services management requirements systems and processes are understood and implemented on all projects
- Manage Design Managers and Services Managers across the business including overseeing workforce resource planning
- Actively support the Design Team in business development events including representing the companywith industry bodies and associations
- Lead Hindmarshs strategy and approach to sustainability and embodied carbon
Required skills and experience
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture Engineering or Construction Management
- 10 years of proven experience within a building contractor (Tier 1 or Tier 2) in a Design Manager Design Consultant or Project Manager role
- Experience across a range of project types (commercial education health data centres industrial) and on projects exceeding $50M
- Proven capability in cost planning and pricing value management strategies
- Advanced knowledge of relevant construction Legislation codes and Regulations
- Competent using Aconex Bluebeam and other construction software programs
- Advanced user of CAD and BIM technology
