Position Summary
This parttime role is responsible for coordinating and managing educational placement processes and operational needs for assigned programs in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Center for Career and Professional Development with special focus on assisting the Placement Director with various duties related to the placement of student teachers in the Department of Education . The Career Readiness Placement Specialist ensures efficient processes for student screenings site safety program operations and administrative departmental needs are occurring in order to support the success of career related apprenticeships. The Career Readiness Placement Specialist facilitates supports and monitors apprenticeshiplearning activities accreditation/licensure requirements stipend/adjunct payments and related activities for assigned programs in coordination with program directors department chairs and the Office of Sponsored Programs when appropriate. These activities ensure that the execution and quality of student readiness experiences occur in compliance with program mission vision course goals and licensure standards. Assist the Placement Director with the coordination of outreach associated with partnership placements and processes. Issue clinical/student teacher supervision and adjunct faculty contracts as well as compliance documentation regarding parttime employment processes. Cultivate partnerships for career readiness placements alumni involvement preceptor recruitment and program/course efficacy. Serve as a liaison for students; answering student questions regarding engagement with program policies and procedures. Assist faculty with the coordination of the clinical/student teacher education components of the curriculum. Maintain apprenticeship site records student evaluations student profiles contracts and affiliation agreements and other appropriate information in compliance with program and State standards. Ensure department administrative operations are effective and processes meet licensure/accreditation requirements including reporting requirements. Support grant funded initiatives focused on career readiness. Work with grantfunded faculty to purchase and process grant expenses including but not limited to employee stipends travel hospitality equipment procurement materials and supplies and fees for contractors/vendors. Support grantfunded faculty with administrative responsibilities of grant projects like planning and managing logistics of meetings and workshops. Support program directors in the coordination of data collection analysis preparation and submission of reports. Collaborate with faculty administration and licensure/accrediting bodies to assess plan edit and implement changes to the program as needed. Monitor and report on program outcomes relevant to accreditation/licensure standards. Work with the associated department to support selfstudy reports regarding apprenticeship learning efficacy and placement site sufficiency.
