The Information Technology Operations Manager is responsible for the daily management andoperation of LSIs Information Technology Systems. This includes all associated staff software and hardware.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide Project Management oversight to IT projects and involve appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Collaborates with LSI leaders and users to ensure compliance with IT department processes and policies and provides support or direction as needed.
  • Supports IT infrastructure and enhancements.
  • Provides input for the IT Department budget.
  • Assists with IT asset management lifecycle recycling equipment.
  • Oversees the installation and configuration of new systems to customize them for the organization.
  • Responsible for IT systems project lifecycles.
  • Mentors and coaches the systems team and the desktop support team members to effectively communicate with end users and clients.
  • Provides ownership of the IT KACE ticket queue. Prioritizes highpriority tickets across the desktop and systems teams.
  • Oversees the Database Administration (DBA) individual or team.
  • Assists with individual team member development by establishing development plans goals etc.
  • Must be capable of safely handling governmentfurnished equipment and materials.
  • Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

NonEssential Job Functions

  • Attend meetings concerning organizational and design changes to the whole IT infrastructure.
  • Prepares usage reports schedules progress charts implementation plans and other data as directed.
  • Any other jobrelated task as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Management of IT personnel training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; recommending salary adjustments; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Supervises the Systems Administrators Desktop Support Technicians and any network support personnel as required.
  • Assign duties and issues written and verbal instructions to subordinates.


Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to work independently to proactively manage maintain and support the IT infrastructure and assigned personnel.
  • Ability to use the available resources wisely and establish efficient IT systems.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills for explaining technical issues to management and end users.
  • Must maintain confidentiality relating to all company information.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract.
  • Expertise in identifying problems in existing network infrastructure and suggesting possible upgrades.
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
  • Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in an ITrelated field or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of IT personnel Management experience
  • Two (2) years of IT Project Management experience
  • Four (4) years of experience working with network architecture and clientserver technology.
  • DoD IAM Level 1 certification required or earned within 6 months.
